Venues are always changing their pricing and policies, so the information in this blog may be out-of-date. But as of February 2023 when I’m writing this…

Cactus and Tropicals is a plant and garden store that also functions as a lush event space. Tucked into a lush greenhouse setting filled with tropical plants, vibrant blooms, winding paths, water features, and garden details, Cactus & Tropicals offers a magical, botanical backdrop for weddings and special events. They have two locations – one in Draper and one in Salt Lake City.
At both locations, Cactus and Tropicals hosts weddings year round. They have both indoor and outdoor space. During the winter, this is a great venue because you can still get tons of greenery without your florist needing to supply it. All year long, the greenhouses are filled with lush plants, exotic trees and colorful blooms.
The Salt Lake City venue is located at 2735 South 2000 East in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Draper venue is located at 1325 East 12300 South in Draper, Utah.

Rental fees vary based on day and event type:
The Draper location can accommodate up to 100 guests. Tables and seating for 100 guests are included.
The Salt Lake City location can accommodate up to 60 guests. Tables and seating for 60 guests are included.
Ceremonies can be held inside the greenhouse surrounded by exotic plants and natural light, or in outdoor garden areas and gazebos adjacent to the greenhouse.
Receptions are held in the same greenhouse space or adjoining outdoor garden areas — the natural ambiance and plant life provide organic décor that’s perfect for photographs and celebration.
Many couples use private indoor spaces at the venue — including dressing rooms or prep areas — before their ceremony or photo sessions, although availability may vary by location and rental package.

Events are held Monday – Saturday from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Sundays 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Cactus & Tropicals has a flexible vendor policy — you can choose your own caterers, photographers, and planners, though venue-preferred vendors are often recommended for ease.
A dedicated venue coordinator or event planner is included to help manage your event timeline, logistics, and vendor coordination so your wedding runs smoothly.

Catering is open to outside vendors, giving flexibility to tailor your menu to your taste and theme.
Alcohol is allowed onsite, but service must be managed responsibly through licensed bartenders or catering partners; compliance with venue policies is required for safety and licensing.
Parking is ample.

Both venues are close to many Salt Lake Valley hotels and accommodations, including popular options in Draper, Sandy, and South Jordan — convenient for out-of-town guests and wedding parties. (Local hotel options are abundant in the surrounding region.) Cactus & Tropicals does not have on-site lodging options.
Pet policies can vary, so check directly with your venue coordinator if you’re planning to include pets in your ceremony or photos — greenhouse settings can be sensitive to animal access.
