Proposing on a ski slope would be a truly magical experience. You can choose a spot that overlooks the stunning scenery of the area, or pick a quiet area where you can stop and take in the view together.
Note – I’m an expert skier and can handle any ski terrain available! So it is no problem for me to photograph your proposal on the slopes. I even have an ikon pass, so I can ski any resort in Utah except Park City Canyons for no additional charge.

Somewhat related to the ski slopes idea… Stein Eriksen is a lodge that you can ski in and out of at Deer Valley. But you can also just park your car and walk normally. There are multiple wonderful places here where you could propose. There is a scenic outdoor deck in the back. And various alpine globes for adorable dining. And you can even arrange a horse-drawn carriage ride.
In addition, the lodge has exceptional food and drinks which can be a great way to celebrate your engagement later.

High West Distillery has a restaurant by Park City Main Street. But they also have the distillery, where the alcohol is made, in Wanship, about a 40-minute drive from Park City. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating areas, including a patio with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Visitors to the distillery can take a guided tour of the facility to learn about the history and process of whiskey making.
Personally, I think this is a very stress-free place to propose π You say you’ve reserved a whiskey tour (which starts at a specific time, so it’s not stressful trying to get her out of the house at a specific time when she doesn’t know time matters), you go on the tour which makes her unsuspecting about what’s to come, you propose in the beautiful mountains, you enjoy a great meal and drinks later. And then, in the future, whenever you drink High West whiskey, it has extra sentimental value!
