How to Make Sure Your Guests Have a Fun Time at Your Wedding
Sometimes I feel like wedding blogs/magazines focus completely on having a “pretty” wedding, but they overlook having a “fun” wedding. I think that an ideal wedding is both 🙂
Anyone present at your wedding should care about you and be happy to see you happy. But they’re going even happier if you don’t throw a boring party. Here’s a few way to have an incredible guest-conscious party!
Your couple photos are important, and they take time. If you don’t allocate enough time to taking couple portraits, it’s hard to get a good variety of shots and you’ll likely feel rushed during the process. It’s a lose-lose.
If you opt for a first look, you can plan for enough time to take photos. And also spend less time away from your guests in between the ceremony and reception. This is the best way to spend as much time as possible with all the people who came out to support you on your wedding day.
Please try to minimize the amount of time that guests are waiting for food/drinks.
Weddings are more interesting if they’re personalized. Writing and sharing your own words is a great way to captivate your guests. They’re simply going to care more if they get to hear about your love story.
Instead, opt for the bride and groom to go to each individual table while your guests are eating. This is a much more efficient and simple way to greet every guest present.
These aren’t necessary, but surprises are entertaining! Denae and her father started out with a sentimental daddy-daughter dance, but then the music changed and they jammed to Thriller.
Your guests will bounce off of your energy. So if you’re smiling, they won’t be able to help themselves from doing the same.
