Tim and Katie’s wedding at Garden Place at This Is The Place Heritage Park was one of those days where everything just comes together—an incredible couple, big extended families, warm weather, spring blooms, an unreal sunset, and a packed dance floor.

Getting Ready

Tim and Katie were dream clients from start to finish. Not just because they are kind and fun people, but also because Katie read through all my wedding guides, and it showed 😉 When I arrived at the Airbnb where she and her closest friends were getting ready, everything was laid out and ready to go—her dress on a custom hanger, two sets of shoes, a yellow diamond ring, and plenty of florals.

A very cute part of the day happened right after: since the Airbnb was just down the street from St. Ambrose Church, Katie and her entire group walked to the ceremony together. It was simple, but memorable.

The ceremony at St. Ambrose was classic, timeless, and heartfelt. The church was filled with people who clearly love Tim and Katie. And the priest knew them personally, which made the ceremony feel even more meaningful.

Party Bus Between Venues

Between the ceremony and reception, Tim and Katie kept the energy high with a party bus.

Music was blasting, drinks were flowing, and everyone was dancing. It turned transportation into part of the celebration itself—and by the time we arrived at Garden Place, the party had already started.

March in Utah can go either way—full winter or early spring. This year had been one of the worst snowfall seasons, which made for a tough ski season, but it ended up being perfect for this wedding.

At Garden Place, that meant:

• green grass instead of snow
• pink trees
• soft, warm light throughout the day
• mountain access right in the foothills

A Packed Dance Floor (Thanks to Richie at Best DJ in Utah)

The reception energy was exactly what you’d expect with Richie running the show. I’ve worked with him before, and he lives up to the name every time. The dance floor stayed full all night.
