Snowy Proposal at McPolin Barn in Park City | Craig & Annika

A winter proposal at White Barn in Park City is always breathtaking — even in a light-snow year.
Utah is usually more snowy in January than it is this year. But Park City is at higher elevation than Salt Lake City, so it was a great way to capture snow during this couple’s trip to Utah. And Park City looks gorgeous in all seasons.
We met at White Barn Park City, one of the most iconic and photographed locations in the area. The historic barn, with its weathered wood and wide-open mountain backdrop, is a favorite spot for engagements, elopements, and proposal photography — and for good reason. The scene was stunning: warm light reflecting off the barn, quiet winter fields, and distant ski runs tracing the hills beyond.
As Craig & Annika walked toward the barn under the pretense of going on a walk after lunch, the atmosphere felt calm and unhurried — exactly the kind of mood that makes for meaningful, heartfelt proposal moments. After the proposal, it was warm and sunny enough (plus I’m sure they were pumped with excited adrenaline) for the couple to shed their extra coats. We wandered through the meadow together capturing more beautiful photos of the two of them.
