Lakehouse at Deer Creek Wedding Venue Information & Cost

Venues are always changing their pricing and policies, so the information in this blog may be out-of-date. And much of this information comes directly from the venue, but some parts come from second hand sources, so there is room for error. But as of 2026 when I’m writing this…

If you dream of saying “I do” with glassy water and mountains as your backdrop, The Lakehouse at Deer Creek is one of Utah’s most beautiful small wedding venues. This modern, lakeside restaurant sits right on the shore of Deer Creek Reservoir, with panoramic views of Mount Timpanogos, warm wood interiors, huge windows, and an expansive deck over the water. It feels like a chic mountain lodge and an upscale restaurant all in one.

Seasonal Availability (if relevant)

The Lakehouse operates year-round and you can host a wedding in any season. Summer and early fall are the most popular for outdoor ceremonies and deck receptions. Their wedding dates are limited—The Knot notes they only offer about 15–20 prime-season buyout dates per year—so it’s smart to inquire early, especially for weekends.

Location:

The Lakehouse is located at 5317 S Highway 189 in Heber City, Utah, right on the shoreline of Deer Creek Reservoir and about 20–30 minutes from Provo, Midway, and Park City area venues and lodging.

Cost:

Pricing is structured more like a restaurant buyout than a traditional blank-space venue fee. Expect a combination of a site fee and food & beverage minimums that vary by date, guest count, and the spaces you reserve (balcony, deck, or full restaurant). Because they only book limited full buyouts each year and position themselves as a “premier destination restaurant,” you’ll want to contact the venue directly for current packages.

Capacity:

For intimate events, the indoor balcony can host around 20–40 guests, the outdoor deck typically fits 40–80 guests, and a full restaurant buyout can accommodate up to about 200 guests for a seated reception.

Ceremony Site:

Couples often hold their ceremony on the deck overlooking the lake or inside in front of the sleek, modern fireplace with tall windows framing the reservoir and mountains.

Reception Site:

Receptions can flow between the deck and the main dining room, with dinner and toasts indoors and cocktail hour or dancing outside under bistro lights (weather permitting). For smaller weddings, the upstairs balcony works beautifully for an intimate dinner party vibe.

Getting Ready Location:

According to The Knot, The Lakehouse includes a dressing room/ready room on site, so you can finish hair, makeup, and last-minute touch-ups at the venue. Many couples still book a nearby rental home or hotel suite for the bulk of their getting-ready time and then arrive at The Lakehouse dressed or nearly dressed.

Weddings Per Day:

Because wedding bookings are structured as limited full or partial buyouts of the restaurant, your event is the only wedding happening in the space during your reserved time. That exclusivity (only 15–20 prime dates a year) is a big part of the appeal if you want the venue to feel like “your” lake house for the day.

Set Up Time:

Set-up windows are coordinated individually based on whether you’re doing a balcony, deck, or full-venue buyout, but in general you can expect access a few hours before guest arrival for vendor set-up, florals, and décor.

Vendor Flexibility:

You’ll have flexibility with vendor other than food and drinks—planner, photographer, florist, DJ/band, rentals

Venue Coordinator:

The venue offers event services and planning support on site. Their coordinator is a venue manager — they handle floor plans, food & beverage details, staff, and venue logistics. Many couples still hire an independent planner or month-of coordinator to manage the rest of the day (timeline, décor set-up, ceremony cues, personal items) and work alongside the venue team.

Food & Alcohol:

Because The Lakehouse is a restaurant first, catering and bar service are handled in-house rather than by outside vendors.

Food is absolutely a highlight here. The Lakehouse is known for locally focused, chef-driven cuisine, showcasing Utah meats, produce, and artisanal products. The bar program features Utah wines, beers, and spirits, and Yelp confirms they operate a full bar.

Parking:

The venue has on-site parking near the building, and guests can also use nearby parking by the reservoir/marina area. On busy summer weekends when lake traffic is high, it’s wise to encourage carpooling or shuttles from nearby hotels to keep things simple.

Lodging:

There are no overnight rooms at The Lakehouse itself, but you’re a short drive from lodging in Heber City, Midway (Zermatt and Homestead), and Park City.

Pet Policy:

Yelp reviewers note that the restaurant is dog-friendly, particularly on the outdoor spaces.
