Blue Sky Lodge Wedding Information & Cost
Venues are always changing their pricing and policies, so the information in this blog may be out-of-date. But as of 2025 when I’m writing this…
Spread across 3,500 private acres of sage-covered hillside, The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection feels equal parts modern sanctuary and working mountain ranch. Ceremony backdrops range from an 1800-s homestead meadow to mountaintop yurts, while an 8,000-sq-ft converted riding arena turns dinner and dancing into a high-country barn party, complete with Restoration Hardware lounges and whiskey-barrel cocktail tables. The resort’s “inclusive venue” model bundles all that furniture—plus farm tables, bars, and staffing—into one flat fee, so the wild-West scenery comes pre-styled in chic, neutral textures.
Blue Sky sits just off I-80 near Wanship, Utah— 20 minutes north of Park City. Guests valet at the lodge gate and traverse a two-mile private drive that climbs to 7,000 feet, unveiling views of the Wasatch and Uinta ranges with every switchback.
Weddings are hosted all year. June–September brings wildflowers and mild evenings; October colors the aspen groves gold; and November–April swaps grass for snow-globe scenery while keeping indoor spaces and mountaintop yurts open.
The arena and terrace comfortably seat up to 250; the alpine meadow handles 200 with a tent; the larger of two yurts seats 70, while the smaller maxes at 40 for a micro-wedding or rehearsal dinner.
Pick your vibe: exchange vows beneath a handcrafted arbor on the Alpine Meadow surrounded by wild lupine; ride side-by-sides up to a mountaintop yurt deck with 360° ridgeline views; or keep things rustic on the Tavern Field beside a century-old cabin. All packages include the arbor, ceremony chairs, a battery PA, and a rain-backup plan inside the arena.
Most dinners unfold in the climate-controlled Riding Arena—8,000 sq ft of reclaimed wood, iron chandeliers, and sliding barn doors that open to a creek-side patio for cocktail hour. Intimate parties often use the Yuta restaurant Wine Room (750 sq ft) or the glass-walled Terrace overlooking Alexander Creek. Restoration Hardware lounges, high-west whiskey barrels, farm tables, and a built-in bar arrive with the site fee, and music can run until 11 p.m.
A private, mirror-lined lounge opens at 8 a.m. for hair, makeup, and catered brunch; many couples also reserve adjoining suites so they can step straight from balcony first-look photos to the ceremony cart. The wedding manager will stock the lounge with custom snacks and High West cocktails on request.
House crews place all venue-owned furniture and décor; outside vendors may load in beginning five hours before guest arrival and have two hours post-event to strike. Extended build-outs (e.g., ceiling installations) can start the evening prior for an hourly fee.
Food, beverage, and cake stay in-house, but any insured planner, florist, band/DJ, or décor company is welcome. A professional wedding planner is required to handle timelines, rentals, and vendor insurance—common at luxury ranch venues.
Blue Sky assigns a wedding manager who drafts layouts, Banquet Event Orders, and shuttle schedules, then remains on-site through teardown. They liaison with culinary and ranch teams while your required hired planner runs the creative details.
Menus pull from the on-site Gracie’s Farm and High West whiskey partnership—think Wagyu strip, fire-roasted vegetables, and barrel-select cocktails. Bars are hosted or on-consumption, and the pastry team will slice and plate your cake (no cutting fee) alongside house-made ice cream. Utah law forbids outside alcohol.
Guests use complimentary valet or self-parking at the Welcome Barn; from there, Mercedes Sprinter shuttles or ranch 4×4’s ferry everyone to ceremony sites. No canyon driving or lift tickets required.
The lodge offers 46 suites and freestanding Earth Suites, plus edge-of-ridge infinity pools and a cliff-top spa. Wedding contracts typically carry a 10-room, two-night block, with buy-out options for full privacy.
Blue Sky is dog-friendly: up to two dogs (≤80 lb) per room for an $80 nightly fee, with beds, bowls, and treats included. Service animals stay free; cats are not permitted.
