Red Pine Lodge, Park City Wedding Information & Cost

Venues are always changing their pricing and policies, so the information in this blog may be out-of-date. But as of 2025 when I’m writing this…

Perched at 8,000 feet in Canyons Village, Red Pine Lodge is a two-story timber lodge with a wrap-around patio that you reach by an enclosed gondola ride—so every guest’s first impression is a five-minute ascent through spruce-lined slopes to a private mountaintop clearing. Once the lifts shut for the evening, you quite literally “own the mountain,” dancing under café lights and finishing the night with a star-lit gondola descent back to base village hotels.

Red Pine Lodge Location:

The lodge sits at the top of Red Pine Gondola in Park City Mountain Resort’s Canyons Village. All guests park or shuttle to the base plaza at 4000 Canyons Resort Dr., then ride the gondola—ADA-compliant cabins with benches—straight to the venue.

Red Pine Lodge Seasonal Availability:

Unavailable for Summer 2025 and 2026 – back with a new look in 2027. Open June – September, December – March.

Red Pine Lodge Cost:

Starting at $7,500 – including ceremony site, dining tables and chairs, display tables, cocktail tables, standard linens, china, stemware, cutlery, ceremony chairs, dance floor, and gondola transportation.

A food-and-beverage minimum also starts at $7,500.

Red Pine Lodge Capacity:

Red Pine hosts up to 350 seated guests inside and on the patio, or roughly 450 for strolling / cocktail-style receptions—making it the largest on-mountain venue in Park City’s portfolio.

The Ceremony Site:

Most couples exchange vows on the lawn just downhill from the lodge, where Mount Summit frames the altar and the gondola glides silently overhead. In winter, the expansive stone patio becomes the aisle, bordered by snow-draped pines and standing heaters. Teak folding chairs and a portable sound feed are part of the venue package.

The Reception Site:

Dinner and dancing unfold across two pine-beam levels with 30-foot ceilings and picture windows, plus a 4,000-sq-ft patio that’s perfect for cocktail hour or late-night s’mores. A built-in dance floor and house lighting rig mean minimal rental add-ons; at 11 p.m. patio doors close to keep music indoors until the gondola’s final sweep.

Red Pine Lodge Getting-Ready Location:

The lodge itself has a small day-use room for quick touch-ups, but most wedding parties book suites at the Grand Summit Hotel, Pendry Park City, or Sundial Lodge (all steps from the gondola).

Red Pine Lodge Set-Up Time:

Resort staff loads décor and rentals into gondola cabins and begins setup two hours before guest upload; the standard package includes a five-hour event window with options to purchase extra hours. Because Red Pine books only one wedding per evening, teardown can finish after the last gondola run without another event pushing you out.

Red Pine Lodge Vendor Flexibility:

All food, beverage, and bar service must flow through Park City Mountain’s banquet team, but you’re free to hire any planner, florist, photographer, DJ, or décor company you like.

Red Pine Lodge Venue Coordinator:

A dedicated resort event manager drafts floor plans, timelines, and menu selections, stays on-site during load-in, and coordinates with lift operations for gondola timing. They handle venue logistics, while a licensed outside planner is strongly recommended for décor and vendor wrangling.

Red Pine Lodge Food & Alcohol:

Expect mountain-modern cuisine—think Utah trout, bison short ribs, or chef-manned carving stations. Bar packages are billed on consumption or per person, and Utah law means no outside alcohol; the resort supplies bartenders, glassware, and a late-night coffee/cocoa station by request.

Red Pine Lodge Parking:

Guests self-park free in the Cabriolet or Upper Village lots; signage directs them to the gondola plaza. Private shuttles and ride-shares can drop at the Grand Summit porte-cochère. No vehicles are allowed up the service road after lift hours—everything and everyone rides the gondola.

Red Pine Lodge Lodging:

Within a 10 minute walk is the Grand Summit Hotel (ski-in/ski-out, full spa), Pendry Park City, Sundial Lodge, and multiple condo complexes. Group rates kick in at ten rooms, and the resort can build lift-ticket bundles or Sunday brunch vouchers into the room block.

Red Pine Lodge Pet Policy:

Only ADA-defined service animals may ride to Red Pine; pets, emotional-support animals, and dogs in carriers are not permitted on the lift or at the venue.

Red Pine Lodge Upsides:

  • Dramatic gondola entrance and 360° Wasatch views in both summer and winter.
  • Largest guest capacity of any Park City on-mountain venue but still feels private after the lifts close.
  • Venue package bundles furniture, linens, china, dance floor, and lift tickets, simplifying logistics.

Red Pine Lodge Downsides:

  • Reliance on the gondola means strict timelines; high winds or lightning can pause uploads.
