Mid-Mountain Lodge, Park City Wedding Information & Cost
Venues are always changing their pricing and policies, so the information in this blog may be out-of-date. But as of 2025 when I’m writing this…
Mid-Mountain Lodge is Park City Mountain’s secluded “summer lodge in the trees.” Built in 1896 as a miner’s bunkhouse, the two-story timber structure now hides a 6,000-square-foot, two-tier deck that wraps 270° around the building, giving you unobstructed Wasatch views while mountain breezes drift up the ski runs below. Because guests reach it by a five-minute scenic chairlift ride, the entire celebration feels like a private mountaintop retreat once the lift stops running for the night.
The lodge sits at 8,300 feet on the Mid-Mountain Meadows run—just skier’s-left of the McConkey’s and Pioneer lifts. Guests often start at Mountain Village (1345 Lowell Ave.) and ride on Payday or Crescent Express before stepping straight onto the deck.
Park City Mountain books Mid-Mountain Lodge weddings June – September, when the chairlifts operate for summer sightseeing; a handful of adventurous ski-season dates are possible if everyone is comfortable unloading in ski boots, but the venue is closed during spring and fall lift maintenance.
The venue package starts at $3,000 (chairs, tables, linens, china, glassware, deck heaters, and unlimited lift tickets) and a food-and-beverage minimum starting at $8,000.
Indoors the lodge seats up to 150 guests across two levels; the deck can handle a similar number for an open-air dinner or 150 – 175 for cocktail-style mingling.
Most couples trade an aisle runner for alpine plank flooring: the upper deck becomes the altar, teak folding chairs fan toward a ridgeline backdrop, and the chairlift glides silently overhead. Sunset slots bathe the peaks in warm alpenglow, and a plug-and-play sound feed is included.
After “I do,” dinner service moves inside to the rustic dining room—knotty-pine beams, an exhibition kitchen, and panoramic windows—while the lower deck transforms into a dance floor under café lights. In summer the entire front wall can stay open to the stars; in cooler temps, standing heaters and glass wind-panels keep guests cozy until the 11 p.m. music curfew.
The lodge only has a small day-use room, so wedding parties typically book suites at hotels at the base ( Grand Summit, Pendry Park City, or Marriott MountainSide).
Rental includes a five-hour event window, with staff uploading décor in lift cabins roughly two hours before guest loading. Additional event or setup hours are available for a fee, and because only one wedding is booked per evening, teardown can finish after the lift’s final sweep without another group waiting.
All food, bar, and cake service must run through Park City Mountain’s culinary team, but any licensed planner, florist, photographer, DJ, or rental company is welcome.
A dedicated resort event manager drafts floor plans, timelines, and lift schedules, then stays on-site during load-in; a professional outside planner is strongly recommended. Day-of coordination from the venue team is built into the package.
Expect “mountain-modern” menus—think Utah trout, bison short ribs, or chef-manned carving stations—served plated or family-style. Bars are billed on consumption or package, and Utah law means all alcohol must be purchased and poured by the resort (no DIY beer drops).
Guests self-park free in the Mountain Village surface lots after 1 p.m. (or car-pool for waived morning fees), then walk two minutes to the lift plaza. Everything and everyone rides the chair; vendor trucks can schedule limited service-road access for heavier gear.
Many hotels lie within a three-minute walk—Grand Summit Hotel, Pendry Park City, Sundial Lodge, and dozens of condos. Group blocks kick in at ten rooms, and the sales team can bundle lift tickets or a Sunday-brunch voucher into your contract.
Chairlift rules forbid animals, so only ADA-defined service dogs may ride to Mid-Mountain Lodge; pets and emotional-support animals must stay at pet-friendly hotels in town.
