Solitude Ski Resort Wedding Information & Cost

Venues are always changing their pricing and policies, so the information in this blog may be out-of-date. But as of 2025 when I’m writing this…

Many Utahns have special memories at Solitude Ski Resort & even non-local people would like having their wedding here because the place is stunning. The mountain scenery looks straight off a postcard and is not very far from Salt Lake City airport. And unlike many other mountain venues, Solitude has wonderful venues and lodging right at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Seasonal Availability

Solitude Mountain Resort books weddings only June – October, when the wildflower meadows are green in summer and the aspens turn gold in early fall. Ski-season dates are unavailable because lifts, lodges, and most parking are dedicated to winter operations.

Location:

Solitude Ski Resort is up Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Descriptions of Each Venue at Solitude:

There are multiple different places to get married, listed below, within Solitude Ski Resort.

  1. The Roundhouse: My personal favorite place at Solitude! Accessible by a seven-minute chairlift ride, the Roundhouse sits at 8,700 feet on a ridgeline that yields 270-degree canyon views. Ceremonies are held on a manicured lawn wrapped in aspen trees. Receptions are held in the newly rebuilt lodge with its circular stone hearth.
  2. St. Bernard’s : Just outside the stone-and-timber St. Bernard’s restaurant sits is a lawn bordered by Little Cottonwood Creek and framed by aspens. The proximity to the inn’s suites makes pre-ceremony logistics painless, and St. Bernard’s own terrace is perfect for a private first look or post-toast nightcaps.
  3. Moonbeam Lodge: Moonbeam’s ceremony are held close to a large parking lot, making it very easy for guest arrivals. The primary ceremony site is the raised patio/upper deck—an amphitheater-like perch with lodge-pole railings, a clock-tower backdrop, and panoramic shots of the ski runs.
  4. Last Chance Barn: Ceremonies unfold on a lawn—a gently sloping meadow edged by tall pines, a trout pond, and a wooden boardwalk that serves as the bridal processional. The lodge’s barn doors frame the aisle, so in poor weather the party can pivot indoors without re-seating guests.
