Dylan & Natalee’s proposal came together really well but the last minute preparation was a little hectic!

Originally, the plan was to go to Silver Lake to pop the question. Natalee’s mom was going to meet me there 30 minutes early to set up flowers and candles and a blanket. However, none of us were aware that snowshoes were required to be around there this time of year. So we had to pivot plans last minute!

Luckily, I know Big Cottonwood Canyon like the back of my hand. Dylan was looking for a beautiful mountain view and had told Natalee that they had dinner plans. Given that, I recommend that we run to Silver Fork Lodge and ask if we could have this proposal there. Luckily, the staff were so agreeable and helpful and everything came together.

The proposal was definitely not a surprise though. Natalee knew Dylan had a ring and she knew her mom was likely involved. On the drive up the canyon, Natalee even looked at her mom’s find-my-friend location and this confirmed her suspicion that this was going to be no ordinary dinner plan 😉 She still loved it though!
