Behind the Scenes 2018

I dabbled in photography in high school, and then really committed to the business in 2017. I’m so lucky that 2018 was just as amazing, and I’m excited to pull back the curtain and share my 2nd ever BTS post <3

This year has been amazing and as I look back through these images, I laughed but I was also overcome with thankfulness. The people that have come into my life this year have been the biggest blessing!!! I’m so, so lucky for all the amazing adventures we’ve been on together.

There’s a lot that goes into a good photo. Like angles.

Or the perfect height.

A beautiful moment

Or the weather

But really, it’s always a good time because I love the people I get to hang out with. There’s nothing I’d rather do than bring out + capture the best in incredible humans.

I genuinely have the coolest clients.

They have super friendly doggies who sit on my lap during car rides to the second location.

They throw incredible dance parties.

And they know the cutest kids who hug me at the end of the wedding and say “See you at the next one!” (My baby fever is baaaaaaad…)

On their special wedding day, my brides and grooms go above and beyond to invite me into their life. Not only as a photographer, but also as a friend.

They take photos of me

And I couldn’t be more blessed to have a front-row seat to their stories.

I promise I take the role of professional third wheel seriously.

I’ll make sure your first look is everything you ever dreamed of.

I’ll bring the dopest second shooters (in a matching outfit).

Or a friend to hold an umbrella + all the bags during rainy Engagement Shoots

She will also use that umbrella for restricting tourists from my shot.

I’ll be a dedicated hype girl.

And afterward we can all chill + grab dinner together! I may be outside of the restaurant watching the couple through the window, but I’m still in the picture. Even if I photoshopped myself out later, it still counts

But forreal, I’ve been trying harder to have a photo with my clients, too. They mean a lot to me.

The problem is that I have shaky hands and most of my iPhone selfies are blurry…

And when I am lucky enough to get a professional photo with my clients, the person taking it asks if we’re a foreign exchange group because lol Utah is really white.

I can’t believe another year is in the books! I so thankful to get to be on this life-journey with you all! I’ve grown up from behind the camera- both as an artist and as a human. I’ve made so many friends, and I have a feeling 2019 is going to be our greatest adventure yet!
