Karl and Brittany’s Wedding at Muir Beach Community Center

Brittany’s bouquet had succulents that she grew herself. Their tables had wooden centerpieces Karl had prepared by hand. They used Brittany’s mom’s recipe, a recipe Brittany had used since childhood, to make mini cakes with actual vanilla beans. Karl even had limited edition blue shoes shipped from New York. After all, they had “super stupendous planning for the coolest day of all time; celebrating the joyous union of rainbows and unicorns on fields of marshmallows and dancing rays of sunshine.”

And it was just that (minus the unicorns). Not just because every detail was perfect, but because Karl and Brittany are madly in love and it was beautiful to witness. It’s a love that friends and family in Wisconsin, even family that didn’t often leave Wisconsin, came to California to be a part of. I’m so glad they did because it is so obvious everyone else loves this couple as well.

From the moment I met Karl and Brittany, their infectious laughter and contagious joyfulness grabbed me. And then at their wedding I learned even more reasons that they’re the most incredible duo. She once scared a man by how she ate a cheeseburger. He once stopped highway traffic to save a kitten. She is his “biggest source of joy, his ukulele virtuoso, and by far the best Beyonce impersonator he knows.” (stealing from Karl’s vows because they moved everyone to tears)
