The Montage, Deer Valley Wedding Information & Cost

Venues are always changing their pricing and policies, so the information in this blog may be out-of-date. But as of 2025 when I’m writing this…

Getting married at Montage Deer Valley feels like hosting a private celebration on top of the world: the resort crowns Empire Pass at 8,300 feet, wrapping your vows in panoramic Wasatch peaks.

Montage, Deer Valley Seasonal Availability:

Montage Deer Valley books weddings all twelve months of the year, but each season comes with its own personality, price tag, and logistical quirks:

  • June – early October (summer & early-fall peak) – Warm days, cool mountain evenings, and reliably green or golden lawns make this the most popular window. Weekend dates often disappear 18-24 months out and command the highest food-and-beverage minimums after winter. Evening temps can drop into the 40s at 8,300 ft, so plan for heaters or wraps even in July.
  • Mid-October foliage shoulder – For two or three weeks the aspens flare copper and crimson; rates are still peak-season, but weekday availability opens up because families steer clear of the cooler weather and earlier sunsets.
  • Mid-December – March (ski season peak) – Montage is a ski-in/ski-out resort, so winter weddings come with postcard-worthy snow, horse-drawn sleigh options, and premium pricing that rivals summer. You’ll need indoor backups, snow-melt walkways, and extra transit time up Parley’s Canyon, but the white-on-white vistas are unbeatable.
  • April, May & November (off-peak “mud months”) – These transitional months sit between ski closing and summer opening; lawns can be muddy, some outdoor venues are snow-patched or under turf repair, and room rates drop. The resort keeps indoor ballrooms, Vista Terrace, and Grand Terrace open, so couples chasing luxury on a (relatively) lighter budget often target these dates.

Montage, Deer Valley Location:

Montage Deer Valley crowns Empire Pass at 8,300 feet above Park City, a 45-minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport and five minutes from historic Main Street. Guests get true ski-in/ski-out scenery without feeling marooned in the backcountry, thanks to the resort’s free Park City shuttle and year-round activities right outside the lobby.

Montage, Deer Valley Cost:

Expect ultra-luxury pricing: current site fees start around $28 k for a peak-season reception and $20 k off-peak, with another $3 k for the ceremony. Food-and-beverage minimums begin at $300 per person; a 25 % service charge and ~10 % Utah tax apply.

Montage, Deer Valley Capacity:

With 60,000 ft² of event space, the resort can host anything from a 25-guest rehearsal dinner to a 450-person lawn ceremony or a 250-person seated ballroom dinner.

  • GRAND LAWN – Up to 450 guests.

  • Grand Ballroom- 250 guests

Montage, Deer Valley Getting Ready Location:

Any room in the hotel haha.

Montage, Deer Valley Vendor Flexibility:

Outside florists, planners, bands, and décor companies are welcome—the FAQ explicitly allows “outside vendors”—but all food, bar, and cake service must run through the resort. External cakes incur a $6 pp cutting fee, and a licensed bartender must serve any alcohol sourced through Utah’s state DABC.

Montage, Deer Valley Venue Coordinator:

A dedicated Montage event manager coordinates timelines, diagrams, menu selections, and on-site logistics, but the resort requires a full-service wedding planner on your team to run vendor communication and décor installs.

Montage, Deer Valley Food & Alcohol:

Chef-driven menus span plated, buffet, or action stations, with beverage billed on consumption via Montage or premium liquor packages. No outside food or drink beyond a cake is permitted, but the pastry team’s custom creations can dodge the cutting fee

Montage, Deer Valley Parking:

Self-parking doesn’t exist here; valet is mandatory and runs about $20 per car for events or $50 overnight. Hosts can comp or master-bill the charge, and many couples simply rely on the free resort shuttle for Main-Street runs.

Montage, Deer Valley Lodging:

The property offers 174 rooms/suites and 82 residences (one- to four-bedroom), plus an onsite spa, bowling lanes, and seven restaurants.

Montage, Deer Valley Pet Policy:

Montage is genuinely dog-friendly. In your hotel room, guests can have up to two well-mannered dogs (≈45 lb each) per room for a one-time $150–$200 fee, complete with beds, bowls, and an in-room canine menu. Pups may attend outdoor ceremonies on leash.
