The Grand America Hotel is, in my opinion, the most beautiful hotel in Salt Lake City. Located right downtown, it leans into a grand, maximalist style—floor to ceiling marble, ornate details, and truly epic chandeliers. Beyond the lobby, the hotel features an interior pavilion that looks stunning year-round.

One of the biggest advantages of proposing at Grand America is the consistency and control it offers. It is beautiful indoor and outdoors. Spring in Salt Lake City can be unpredictable, but this hotel is beautiful no matter the weather. During certain times of year—like this proposal—the space transforms into a vibrant floral display, with rows of immaculately maintained tulips.

It’s a great option for couples who want something elegant and timeless, without venturing too far into the mountains or dealing with logistics. Gavin and his girlfriend are not from Utah, but they were staying at this hotel during a trip. Which made it very convenient to “explore the hotel” as a ruse to go to a beautiful place to propose.
